Z-LOCK PLUS™ Will be Made in North America, Providing Much Quicker Manufacturing Times and Eliminate Supply Chain Uncertainty

Boulder, CO – May 9, 2023 – Zonit Structured Solutions LLC, a Boulder-based manufacturer of at-the-rack data center infrastructure solutions and power-path reliability products, has announced the release of its latest innovation: the Z-LOCK PLUS™ (z-Lock+ ™) universal dual-locking power cords at Data Center World in Austin, TX. The Z-LOCK PLUS is the culmination of over 10 years of in-the-field experience, customer feedback, and extensive development efforts. The Z-LOCK PLUS will be available to order starting May 15, 2023 through Zonit channel partners.

“Enabling additional manufacturing in North America was a strategic decision that allows us to deliver a superior product that shortens our supply chain, with up to an 80% reduction in order lead time, while supporting our USA suppliers,” said Bill Pachoud, CEO of Zonit. “We are dedicated to providing our customers with the best-in-class displacement technology products, in predictable and reliable timeframes and this initiative is just one example of that commitment.”

The Z-LOCK PLUS power cords are designed for use in mission-critical environments where uptime is essential such as data center, IDF/MDF closets, and edge computing. The cords will be available in dual and single-sided locking IEC C13/14/15 and C19/20/21 versions and can be used with a wide range of equipment, including servers, switches, and routers. They are the only dual locking IEC power cords in the world that work with standard IEC receptacles on the server and plugstrip sides of the power connection.

“Our goal is to make it as easy as possible for our customers to upgrade their data center infrastructure with the latest and most innovative solutions,” said Jay Bradley, VP of Sales at Zonit. “We are confident that our improved dual-locking power cords will become an essential part of any modern data center, providing uptime assurance, reliability, ease of use, and complete freedom to use rack-mount plugstrips from any vendor. Zonit delivers secure power connections that use standards-based technology that allows for reuse if you choose a different model of plugstrip in the future versus proprietary locking mechanisms that may require complete power cord replacement.”

The innovative Z-LOCK PLUS cords have improved ergonomic features, labeling, and two integrated colored ID rings on each endcap, in six colors, providing a large number of unique ID choices.

“We’re proud to introduce a product that not only improves our market leading universal locking power cord technology but also meets the needs of our customers in terms of quick and reliable product delivery,” said Pachoud.

“Data center professionals are looking for solutions that are familiar, reliable, easy to use, and cost-effective,” said Bradley. “Our Z-LOCK PLUS power cords deliver on all these fronts by providing the same secure and reliable connection that eliminates the risk of accidental disconnects, and reduces the risk of power outages and costly data center downtime.”

Zonit has established itself as a leader in the data center industry, providing innovative and reliable solutions that meet the evolving needs of its customers. With the release of its latest product, the company is continuing to push the boundaries of what is possible in data center design and operation.
